How to Make Blackberry Jam Tart: A Step-by-Step Recipe
Follow the method in the apricot jam tart recipe, which guides you through every step of making perfect shortcrust. Preparation takes about 20 minutes, plus resting time in the refrigerator.
If you have made my blackberry jam and have a jar of this precious preserve at home, use about 350 g.

Roll out the base: roll out two-thirds of the pastry in a buttered and floured 24 cm tart tin. Make a rim about 2 cm high to hold the jam.
Add the jam: spread the blackberry jam evenly over the base, smoothing it with a spatula.
Make the lattice: cut the remaining pastry into strips about 1 cm wide and arrange in a lattice over the jam. This detail makes your homemade tart more beautiful and helps it bake evenly.

Temperature and timing: preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 35–40 minutes, until the pastry is golden. For a perfect golden finish, brush the strips with egg yolk before baking.
Check for doneness: the tart is ready when the pastry is golden and the jam has thickened slightly without drying out.
